Last Friday, we published a post on doing a bedroom deep clean and got a slew of questions from folks who really liked the bed in the beautiful photo accompanying the post. It is a shot from Living Etc. from last March, and luckily, we have the paper copy of the issue in our archives (aka: too many wooden magazine files from IKEA)...
The bed in question is featured on page 54 of the March 08 issue and here is the source info from the article:
Find a similar antique-style bed at Au Lit and Alba Lavender fabric from Designers Guild.

That bed is so pretty. I love both the style and the colour.
Au Lit takes antique French beds, refinishes and reupholsters them -- their look is quite different from this bed. There are many sources in the UK for antique (unrefurbished) French beds, as well as reproductions. (shipping costs have dropped significantly).
Here are some sources in the UK (wish I knew where to get them in France -- they would be cheaper -- google "lit louis xv" and try anquitite or brocante )

There are lots of places that carry this sort of bed...
In Toronto you could do no better than Marie Antoinette, a treasure trove of real French furnishings at fair, if not super cheap prices: http://stylenorth.ca/blog/2008/08/right-now-marie-antoinette-moving-sale/
