The hallmark of an expertly styled room is one that looks absolutely effortless. There's a lot to admire in Sarah's and Matt's Expertly Styled Home but their family room is my favorite. The space looks clean and modern but retains a sense of comfort that's important in a living room. From the fluffy rug to the simple poufs, we've rounded up the pieces that make up this easy modern family room.
• Couch: Sarah and Matt ordered a custom sofa from Furniture Envy in San Francisco. The Lucas Sofa Chaise is very similar to theirs.
• Moroccan Poufs: Serena & Lily.
• Coffee Table: Frame Coffee Table from Crate & Barrel, although we can't find it in the same square shape as in Sarah and Matt's room.
• Lamp: Big Dipper Arc Floor Lamp from CB2
• Rug: Flokati Rug from Serena & Lily
• Basket: Senegalese Storage Basket from Serena & Lily, available in three colors

There seems to be so much more recycled content on AT these days.

@ElleOh - that is some irony right there.
LOL... But yea, there's a fair amount of repackaged content.
I don't think the space looks modern. More contemporary than modern...
what about the butterfly? i've been searching for something similar. lots of butterfly prints have that tacky, faux-distressed Pier One kind of look to them.
Anyone got a good guess on what the paint color is?
honestly, the room looks a little precious and fussy to me. I don't know if I'd feel comfortable letting kids run through there.
Ha, so it is a repeat. Love the colors just the same.
Ha - didn't even notice that had happened!
The reason you couldn't find the same table in the same square shape is because that table is rectangular by all appearances.
To me, this is a pleasant but basically nondescript room with little that reflects the lives or personalities of its inhabitants. Nothing wrong with it and much that's right, but it strikes me as not particularly noteworthy. The sources--primarily from national brand names (stores and catalogs)--make that point.
Covered not once, but twice, before (not to mention Better Homes & Gardens). Enough!
Butterfly prints are from md-canvas.com. You can find this and more detail from the FIRST time they featured this room/home! "sarah and matt's expertly styled home", or something like that.
This is a pretty weak source list... Not even listing a paint color?
New to this site. Are people always so catty and judgmental in their comments? If I don't like somebody's taste or where they buy their furniture I keep it to myself. If you don't have anything nice to say, why say anything at all.......
