Q: Can you help me find a map that is similar to this one? I'd love a fun animal map like this for my son's big boy room, but I'm not having much luck finding one. (This image came from a blog, and it seems to be a picture of a mural.) The closest I've found so far is at Land of Nod, but it's pricey and smaller than I'd prefer.

Oopsy Daisy makes maps like these on canvas mural-style (flat canvas with grommets) or canvas stretched on a frame. Visit their website www.oopsydaisy.com. They should have a store locator. They run around $250 for a 40x30. Some can be personalized.
Have a look at this giant map with velcro/felt motifs, I saw it in the Conran Shop in London and it's great:

We got this map awhile ago at Costco. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Childrens-Animals-World-Wall-Laminated/dp/0954905660 They resell it there periodically. Not only is it big, sturdy, fun and colorful but it's chock full of information about each animal including what type of food they eat, how they are born, etc. My son loves it and all of his playmates gravitate towards it when they visit.
