Q: I am in love with the idea of truly comfortable modern outdoor seating. I am especially looking for an outdoor sofa with cushions and material that is comfortable. I am in love with the chairs that are pictured here and here but they are no longer available. Is there anything similar out there or any tips on DIYing?

Oh yeah, those are totally from IKEA. I had one a few years ago.

Not sure about the cushions

I have two of these -- got them at World Market almost 10 years ago -- but need to find replacement covers/cushions. Anybody know where I can find those?
I, too, bought these around 2002 from World Market and totally regret now buying the additional cushions covers that were available in red, black and I believe a hunter green. Now 10 yrs later, I still have the chair(s) with nothing but the original tan covers. I'll admit that I only go into World Market hoping that these chairs ( I believe they were called Royce) have made it back into circulation. But alas they have not. Perhaps I should try my hand at making my own.
yeah, that'll happen. :(
By the way, I do not believe these are 'outdoor" chairs at all. Or at least chairs designed and meant for staying outside any longer than the time you spend sitting in them.
*totally regret not buying
These chairs from Old & Board were at Flora Grubb, here in San Francisco. They use all reclaimed wood from around the city. Every chair is hand made and designed, so no two are alike. Uber..uber comfy. You totally wouldn't need a cushion but if you really wanted some cushion, I think throwing a 22" outdoor throw pillow would work well with them http://oldandboard.com/
