What is the advantage of SMALL? I'm not sure if there is necessarily an advantage to small, but it does make you rethink how you can do things. You have to get creative with how you organize and, in our case, the things I make for the home. You also have less you can put in it, so the less you have to buy, and the more you have to spend on essentials (like food and vacation). The apartment is more than enough for us, though. We will soon be moving to New York, so I guess that the small home is a good boot camp for the even smaller home we will have in NY.

What's your favorite resource for your home?

We like thrift stores, Ikea, Home Depot (for wood for me to make stuff with), eBay and craigslist.

What is your one favorite element in your small, cool home?

Well, besides each other or our pup, all of the custom things I have made for the home. I have made my girlfriend and I custom sized desks to fit just right in our areas. I also have made a custom coffee table, and coat rack (because we couldnt find one we liked that we could afford). We also have a couple dressers we got from the thrift store that we repainted and made them look awesome. That's more than one thing, but it is more the idea I am talking about I guess.
