If space is an issue and you're not super discriminating about your surround sound, a sound imaging, faux surround sound bar can be a good option. We have a Yamaha brand sound bar, and the reflected surround sound is halfway decent and hardly takes room. LG now offers a soundbar which incorporates speaker, a Blu-ray player AND wi-fi media streaming, making this an intriguing all-in-one solution...

The LG HLB54S Blu-ray Soundbar is a full 1080p Blu-ray player with 430W output power, built-in DSP, a wireless front subwoofer to take care of the deep end of your audio in 4.1 audio surround sound, the ability to stream media from your PC/home network, a cradle for iPods, USB and HDD playback, HDMI connections, optical and coaxial audio input, and can handle BD, MKV, Divx, DVD recordable, MP3, WMA and JPEG files. No price has been announced yet, but this looks like a contender for best all-in-one system for small spaces if it performs half as well as the specs advertise. We'll be keeping an eye out for it for readers and ours own self-interests alike.
