Bill Childs co-hosts and produces this radio show with his kids, Ella and Liam. The law school dean and his offspring have a penchant for great children's music (Dan Zanes, Justin Roberts, Secret Agent 23 Skidoo), and eclectic grownup music that kids are sure to enjoy (White Stripes, Jenny Lewis, Bob Dylan).
The show airs every weekend on 93.9 The River in Northampton, Massachussetts (101.9 in southern Vermont), and is available on demand anytime on the radio station's website. With a theme written and performed by They Might Be Giants, the show is great for rookie parents who fear a future of purple singing dinosaurs, seasoned parents who are stuck in a Wiggles rut, and anyone and everyone who enjoys excellent music.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Yes, yes, yes!!! What a great show. It's also available as a podcast through iTunes, if you're so inclined. Bill also just produced a great CD of family music called Many Hands: Family Music for Haiti. Proceeds go to Haitian People's Support Project. We're giving a couple as gifts for the holidays.
I wish I could d/l it so we could listen in the car when we're traveling with the kids.
checkout kidrockersusa.com for another set of indie parents who started something cool for likeminded families. It's a monthly rock concert series in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Philadelphia that features grown-up bands playing their regular music for tots and their parents (in awesome rock venues, no less!)
