For some reason, we keep thinking about all of these favorite toys from our own childhood that we want our daughter to get to play with as well. Remember spirograph? It's really such a simple concept with such a beautiful result; we've often thought about hanging them as art.
Apparently, just like the Paint with Water books we blogged about- these are also hard to locate these days. There are similar items on sale on Amazon- but the original Spirograph goes for a LOT of money. Looks like we'll be perusing our mom's basement sometime soon.
At any rate, the spiral is the monthly theme over at Unplug Your Kids so they're going to be doing some neat projects using spirograph.

Throwback!! I used to LOoOVE my Spirograph!
I play for hours with my Spirograph! I wish we kept mine.
They have to still make these. I will begin my search now!
Wow! I'd forgotten about these. My mom got me one at a garage sale when I was a kid. (Which is also the same place she bought my Lite Brite.) I want!!! If someone finds them, please post!

Is this not the original? I remember mine looking very similar. I remember the little tray, with the slots for the gears. If this is it, holy cheap!
