I was taught, good design is in the details. These doorbells are excellent!
My friends have one of these doorbells--the yellow one to be exact (but in blue). It's too modern for my tastes, but it's very them and I love it for that. Plus, I never have trouble finding the button in the when I stop by and it's dark.
I have the red "square" at my house and they completely rock. At the time it seemed crazy to spend $100 x 2 on doorbells but I loved them so much I couldn't resist, and they are SO perfect for our house. Kids LOVE them and uptight adults are kind of weirded out by them, which I love.
I feel like if I rang one of these doorbells, I'd also be accidentally launching a nuclear missile from somewhere. They're neat looking, but maybe more futuristic than modern.

My friend has the green one and now after a few years it is looking dated.
Oooooooooooh, the r2 model in the white LED will look perfect with the white LED house numbers we put up this summer!
Just one question with these LEDs is how you replace them. I have the same concern with my house numbers, but never looked into it. Anybody know?
we have the "blue" one (de-light) in amber... modern, but not trendy. also very affordable. we've used these on 2 past homes.
the LEDs are not replaceable to my knowledge -- s'posed to last about 10 years...
Hello, I am Mrs. Spore, and I am happy to hear that people are liking our doorbell buttons!
I just wanted to address the question of LED life. Redneckmodern is right: the standard life is about 10 years. That said, the one Ted installed on his parents' house 12 years ago is still going strong. Additionally, we do sell replacement circuit boards for all of our buttons for when the LEDs do go.
These are .... interesting .... but as thebookie points out they do look like they might set a missile in motion. :-)
For my 200-plus-year-old house, I'm opting for one of the crank-style bells. Beautiful, user-friendly, and nothing to replace, ever.
Thanks, Mrs. Spore! I'm definitely interested.
Our electrical was severed when we installed our new door and sidelites 2 years ago, and I've been looking for the perfect doorbell ever since. I'll talk over logistics with my husband, but I'm sure it'll be easy enough to get power to the door. I'm so excited ... these are so pretty!!
YUM!
