Josef Frank fabrics and wallpaper have been an obsession of mine for awhile now. They have extremely colorful, vibrant, free-flowing and organic patterns inspired by Frank's love of botany. The unique patterns seem to buck against the other linear and grid-like design aesthetics that were happening at the time of their design.
Companies such as IKEA and Pottery Barn have fabrics that were clearly inspired by Josef Frank but I still covet the orginals.
One of my favorite quotes about home design/decorating is from Josef Frank.
"The home does not have to be planned out in detail, just put together by pieces its inhabitants love."

I love these. As a self proclaimed fabric hoarder, I can't believe none of his textiles have made it into my collection. This could be dangerous.

I've loved Josef Frank for a long time now. I can't think of anything better than a white room with a big pop of his fabric as a shade or curtain panel. I'm tempted to splurge on some yardage every time I see pics like these! Thanks for the great post!
The fabrics are extraordinary, but you should also let people know that, like all Svenskt Tenn products, they're also extraordinarily expensive (~$150/meter).
Oooh, I love these fabrics, too! I am a fabric hoarder as well; I use material in my paintings. These might just compel me to make the switch to patterned fabric.
If you like Frank, you'll love the handprinted fabric of Jobs Handtryck, which is also extemely expensive.

The snozzberries taste like snozzberries!
Josef Frank obsession? Oh yes. Please see my website to see the chair I reupholstered in his Manhattan fabric & sold to a mother who was going to give it to her son who was just starting out as an architect in Manhattan. www.chairloom.com - in the sold section.
A bit late to comment I know, but I thought some of you might find it of interest to know that Durch wallpaper decal designer Inke, has added two vintage Josef Frank wallpaper designs: "Eldblomman" and "Paradiset" to their collection of silohuettes. An affordable way to add some of his striking designs to your home decor.
Also great for a nursery, www.littlebabycompany.com sell both patterns here http://www.littlebabycompany.com/productlist/115/Wall-Decals.htm?offset=0
