Earlier this week I had the opportunity to attend the MRKET show in New York with a friend. On display were dozens of amazing menswear brands, and as someone always on the lookout for stylish ways to carry tech, I'm happy to report that there are quite a few excellent laptop bag options showcased. Read on for a few of the favorites and a sneak peek into what you can expect to see in fine retailers come later this year.

As you might imagine for a menswear brand show there were quite a few black bags in attendance, but thankfully for those wanting something a little different, MRKET had just the thing. Note, all bags fit at least a 13" laptop and prices listed are MSRP.
Top Row:
• Frankfurt Field Brief from Blue Claw Co. $190 (Spring 2013)
• Harris Tweed Messenger Bag from The British Belt Company $440 (Spring 2013)
• Artphere Entrepreneur from Beylerian Collection $750
• Journey West Bag from Pendleton Woolen Mills $184 (Spring 2013)
Bottow Row:
• Back 9 Collection Briefcase from Tommy Bahama $350 (Spring 2013)
• Style 1476 from Tramontano

I wish there were more nice looking quality laptop bags like these that are backpack style. I have been on the look out forever because i like to have my hands free when i carry it, plus it's more ergonomic but I don't want a school/hiking looking backback. Something leather or canvas and stylish! Anyone know any laptop bags like that?
Were there absolutely none that weren't made of leather?
@Carrotsticks, I sympathize. Even the fabric bags here have leather trim. That said, I bought a non-leather bag to carry stuff to work and it is not wearing well at all. My leather handbag is 10 years plus and still looks great.
I can never seem to find one that looks as lovely as these and has the strap in the back to slip over my wheely luggage. Lugging laptops in the airport stinks.
I hear you! Chrome's Soyuz has done me well. It isn't the best looking bag out there, but it's bomb proof, water proof, comfy and fits my big assed worked laptop. They also replaced it for free when a zipper broke that they couldn't fix. It's tragic flaw is that it doesn't feel right bringing it into a customer meeting, even here in style-lax Bay Area.
Looks wise: not perfect. Performance wise: Brilliant.
I think a future roundup of laptop carrying cases without leather may be in the works now.
I've seen some great ones, including my go to carry on from Lo & Sons, but at this show it was leather leather everywhere!
Beylerian make one similar to the Entrepreneur that works as a backpack and it looks nothing remotely school or hiking looking.
No price or link for the last bag???
There's a link, same as all of the other bags listed that brings you to designer/maker. MSRP was not available. As stated in the intro, this really is a preview as most of these bags won't be available till later this year. Availability varies which is why we linked to the site of the maker for more information.
For what it's worth, this bag can be made without the leather tag in it (I emailed her and asked). I haven't pulled the trigger on it yet, but it would be vegetarian if you request, looks good and probably wears quite well.

Perhaps you can add it to your roundup, Gregory?
Do you need to be able to wear it like a backpack, or is messenger style okay too?
For backpacks, Archival Clothing is a good bet. Their stuff feels like it'll last forever.

Everlane's pretty good too if you're on a budget

If you're okay with a briefcase style bag with shoulder straps, you can't go wrong with the Filson Original. I just picked one up and I'm looking forward to it developing a beautiful patina over many many years.

Jack Spade's nylon stuff might be what you're looking for. They look and feel polished, something that I find most nylon bags fail to achieve.
Specifically, the nylon city briefcase might be of interest:

No leather at all.
@Mrwindupbird
Thanks for those suggestions. The first all have leather which isn't what I'm looking for. But the Jack spade one is nice, although a bit spendy for me.
I'm looking forward from the roundup from AT!
Thanks joellemarie. I searched for Beylerian bags/ packs on google and was not able to find any. Do you know of any retailers or how to see their site?
Master-piece has a whole host of bags that are extremely stylish, classy, and function as both backpacks and messengers.
