A dab of pink here are there does wonders for brightening up a space. It is a beautiful color and if used sparingly with clean lines, it won't read as overly feminine. From the lighter end of pink's spectrum of blush and powder pink, to its darker end of fuchsia and magenta, if it's your thing, there is a pink for every man and woman.
Even better, items #2 and #4 are vintage, making them pre-owned and eco-friendly.

I recently repainted a small bathroom -- long and narrow, with a ceiling that slopes from 11' to 7', which has one large high window that in turn provides light not just to the bathroom but to the connected dressing room. I went with white beadboard on the bottom and Benjamin Moore's Pink Moire on the top and ceiling. It's a nice effect -- fresh and warm, where blues, grays or greens would have felt cold (white tile, tub, pedestal sink, etc.), and a tan or beige would just be so dull. Best of all is how it looks in natural light -- just glowing. Cannot recommend that shade highly enough to people looking for a pink that's neither pastel nor Barbie-bright.
I've used pink liberally in our dining room, most notably in satin curtains from Paris. My hubs likes it - he's an Artist/Art DIrector so he's got an appreciation for all colors. I'm lucky that way. You can see it here:

Nesting Game: Awesome room, and gorgeous pink curtains! It's a stunner.
Thanks so much, Almond Joy!
