With the belief that modern design in the home can go beyond furniture and accessories, Brooklyn’s Sprout Home specializes in unique and unusual greenery with a contemporary flair. Having recently opened a new floral and gardening design studio, Sprout Home expands to include a breathtaking inventory of classic flowers and other uncommon blooms.
Three years ago, Chicago-based Sprout Home expanded their roots to Williamsburg, Brooklyn with the opening of their gardening center — offering unique greenery and contemporary home accessories. Now, the verdure heaven has expanded with the recent introduction of a new, 700 square foot Floral and Garden Design Studio right next door to their Grand Street location. Their abundant selection of gorgeous cut flowers runs the gambit from classic sweet peas and anemones to rare thistles and even miniature pineapple stems (my favorite!). As a full-service botanical center, Sprout Home also offers classes in floral design, gardening, and the very popular terrarium making.
Already a buzz in anticipation for Valentines Day, Sprout Home is currently taking orders for floral arrangements of all kinds.“You wouldn’t think we’d be the first place that comes to mind when someone wants traditional flowers, says co-owner Tassy Zimmerman, “but we are getting A LOT of orders for red roses.” So whether your loved one favors the time-honored classics or rare and unusual perennials, stop in or call ahead to create a customized bouquet to-day. For those who may feel intimidated by the idea of pulling together an arrangement, have no fear — the staff at Sprout Home have a patented system for creating a customized masterpiece, and all you need to do is give them two words. Check out their promotional Valentine’s Day video below to see how they do it and visit www.sprouthome.com to get a whiff of this vast and beautiful one-stop plant shop.

Gorgeous stuff. Haven't been to the shop yet but I love browsing their website, it always makes me want to take better care of my plants & bring home more of them.
I used to love browsing the Sprout in Chicago. Its a neat place, with really interesting plants and gifts. I'd always wondered if the one here was from the same people. Now I know! Definitely going to check it out soon.
Oh, I love love love Sprout Home (Chicago). It's walkable from where I live, and I end up spending way too much time in there. I've bought a number of plants, and most recently a tree, at Sprout, and the people that work there are wonderful - knowledgeable and obvious plant-lovers. Only problem is that I kind of want to buy/move into the entire store.
I live right around the corner, and was just there last weekend! Love this place, I buy all my plants at their companion store. Great service and beautiful products.
I love Sprout. I think it is a testament to their quality that the plants I bought from them are still alive.
The Sprout in Chicago is great. They have tons of really fun plants, plus its SO nice to go in there in the winter and inhale the delightful humidity. Ahhh.
