Q: We just bought a Projection by Drexel (c.1959) dining set from Craigslist for $325. It still has its original upholstery and finish.
There are no huge gouges or damage to the wood; there is some minor dinginess/stains on the upholstery, but the padding feels fine, so I'm not inclined to re-upholster. I want to spruce it up a bit, without diminishing whatever value it has.
I plan to use Howard's Restor-a-Finish and Feed-n-Wax on the wood after giving it a good clean. I'm curious as to what products/techniques I should use on the seats, though. Any suggestions?
