While browsing through Design*Sponge recently, we came across the home of Diana Yen of The Jewels of New York, a beautiful slow food and seasonal cooking blog. Her Brooklyn home was warm and lovely, and we particularly fell in love with her chicken coop kitchen storage (see above). She uses it as an open pantry to store her spices, canned goods, and other cooking ingredients...

While not completely authentic, it's still a great idea! Modeled after vintage chicken coops, this storage unit is made in upstate New York and available through Sundance in buttermilk, red and white finishes.
