While this isn't a dining room, it could certainly double as one. This sumptuous home office was made to accommodate visiting clients in a sleek and elegant fashion. However, this means that using your dinning room as a makeshift office has never been easier.
Aaron Leestma's home office is really interesting because of the amount of space available, great desk space, comfortable sitting room for clients, an even nicer view, and a suspended stand for his HDTV. While Aaron mostly works from his office, he says that it's nice to have a dedicated room at home as well.
He made an accent wall behind the HDTV by cutting a piece of MDF to the right size, wrapping it in dark burlap and securing it to the wall. Underneath, there's a section from a room divider. He uses his laptop, an external keyboard, and a 22-inch IPS monitor. He's also got an IP phone that connects him to the office.
What sets Aaron's home office apart is the use of space. Home offices tend to be small and cluttered, but this one is large and expansive. It makes us think that using the dining room as a spare home office is a good idea. We think that most people use the dining room from time to time, but if space is an issue, then a temporary setup in the dinning room will work well.
