This home in the suburbs of Zurich features a central staircase made from chestnut. Designed by Nimmrichter CDA Architects, the staircase helps anchor the room in the S House project and offers some hidden storage.
According to Contemporist, Nimmrichter CDA Architects used only a few materials in the open-plan ground level to appeal to the owners wishes for "autonomy of form and materiality".
It's clever storage solutions like this that make us swoon!
