The editor's letter of a just launched online publication states (in all caps): Don't Look for Words Like These - eco-friendly, recycled, fair-trade, fsc-certified, water-based, non-toxic, local, organic, reclaimed, green, recyclable... What is this? The ultimate anti-environmental design mag? Far from it.

The reason those words won't be showing up in the new magazine is that "Green is a standard, not a style." Designer Kelly LaPlante has been committed to the environmental design movement for more than a decade and believes that the time has come for a magazine that is fully vetted - instead of focusing on a few elements that are sustainable, EVERY product featured is earth-friendly… and stylish.

PS - The wonderful Laure Joliet (check out all of her Apartment Therapy posts right here) is a contributor — her feature (that the first image above is from) can be found on page 66 of Standard, entitled The Modern Man's Guide to Hillside Living.
