D'oh! This was a test to see if Kate could write her posts from her desired new phone, the new Verizon Voyager. Kate was able to get the title into the post, change a few things like the date and time of this post, and take a picture with the phone, but couldn't get the body of the post written for some reason neither she nor the Verizon employee could figure out (somehow, it must be possible because Kate was sometimes able to get a single letter in the body of the blog section).

As well, the little buttons we have for inserting links and pictures didn't seem to show up. We'll need to check into a mobile web version of our blogging software.

As for the Voyager, it was fun to play around with, a definite upgrade from her current phone, and has some great features.

The tactile feedback is a bit odd just because it's not on most phones, but like texting on the screen without the actual buttons--like the Apple iPhone--she can definitely get used to it. The internal keyboard is nice because it moves as fast as you can type, with keys that are bigger than many Blackberries.

Kate has some more testing to determine if she can use the Voyager or if she needs to get a smartphone. Have you had a chance to try out the Voyager? What are you thoughts?
