Stanley Kubrick's Chicago

Before becoming a filmmaker, Stanley Kubrick worked as a photojournalist. In Summer 1949, he came to Chicago to do a story for Look magazine.

Eight of the (very cool) photos that resulted are viewable on the Tribune site.

The Tribune has a whole online gallery of photos, many of which are available for purchase. For a quick photography purchase, this is a good source for Chicago-centric images.
