The Awesome Star Wars LEGO Chess Set

We don't know what's cooler: the fact that this is a LEGO chess set or that it's actually a Star Wars LEGO chess set. Having a chess set around is always interesting. In an age where most of us spend hours of our days in front of a computer screen, it's nice to go offline. This set is a mix of entertainment and fun.

This incredible looking Star Wars LEGO chess set was created by Brandon Griffith. This isn't just any Star Wars LEGO chess set, it's actually a Star Wars IV: A New Hope LEGO chess set. Brandon completed it between April and May of this year. Each figure represents a mythic character from the famous movie.

We definitely enjoy all things LEGO. They remind us of the time when we were playing around with LEGO bricks. The trend of combining LEGOs with Star Wars kind of really works well. This makes a chess set like this kind of like a sculpture to have around. What's really cool is that you can assemble one yourself. Now in order to do this, you'd have to purchase a few different Star Wars LEGO sets and cobble them together using the photos from Brandon's Flickr site. Naturally, the white pieces have become the Light Side of the Force and the black pieces have become the Dark Side of the Force.
