We all thought we loved tenugui before — beautiful, traditional, multiple-use cloths from Japan — but that was before we knew there were Star Wars tenugui…

I spotted the delicately printed cloths at Kinokuniya Stationery & Gift in San Francisco's Japantown mall and quietly freaked out. They are so elegant and ethereal and full of R2-D2! If you don't live near a Kinokuniya, the Star Wars tenugui collection is available through Strap-ya. I think my favorite is Darth Vader gazing contemplatively across a river. As the good people at Strap-ya write, "What is he thinking staring at the curly stream? However, Darth Vader is way too scary for me so I would probably go for C3PO & R2 with an umbrella. Wait- stop the presses! if you scroll down on the Darth Vader on Fire page, you'll see that there are new designs coming soon, including one with an Ewok! If the tenugui weren't $29 each at Kinokuniya ($19+ $13 shipping through Strapya), I would have bought one of each and been set for gift wrap and tea towels for life.
