We were out on Pier 39 and the last thing we were expecting to find was inspiration for home décor. But we stumbled across these Starboard and Port Oil Lamps, and were actually a little bit enchanted…

We popped in to The Captain’s Wharf, a Nautical Themed Gift shop, and were surprised to find some very interesting pieces at what seem to be reasonable prices! These lamps caught our eye most pointedly, and the first thing that popped into our mind was “bookends!” They come with easy-hang hardware, and we can imagine them in various decorative situations around our home.

They seem fairly reasonably priced at 89.95, and there were quite a few things at the shop that we thought were downright bargains! Out of curiosity, and for our non-SF readers, we decided to see if we could find some to compare with online.

Vermont Lanterns offers similar 10” Brass Lamps for $79.97.

KEBM, Inc. has these 10" Brass Boat Oil Lamps Port and Starboard for $48.45 on their Amazon Store.

Yachts of Stuff (we’ve been avoiding the opportunity to use some nautical puns, but this one isn’t our fault!) offers a pair of 9” Port and Starboard lamps for just $34.95.

Looking at all of these sites and stopping in to this store has us a bit obsessed with nautical lamps. These could be a nice way to add just a touch of the theme without going…overboard? Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
