We have a certain fondness for Philippe Starck, ever since we stumbled upon his sleek yet very affordable products at Target. Admittedly, the man has been everywhere, designing anything that can be designed, from cars to hotels to lamps. So it was only a matter of time before he teamed up with Maclaren to create a line of signature products.
The stroller ($300) is nice, and looks more Starck than Maclaren, although we're betting the product has all the usual company features: Lightweight, easy to push, and simple to fold. (Yes, we own a Maclaren ourselves, although not the Starck version.)
There's also a travel cot ($250) and portable high chair ($200) along the same stylistic lines. All very nice, and a welcome departure from the usual black Bugaboos and Maclaren Volos that are so ubiquitous in our neighborhood. -Amara
