We're always losing our keys or misplacing an important piece of mail. I know we're not alone in this and we've been looking for an attractive solution to make our lives just a little bit easier.

The Switch Entry Caddy from Chiasso.com (for $32) seems to be that little organization angel we've been looking for. We can keep our keys and mail right by the door, so that we always know where they are. We also have a kitten who has found the wonders of jumping on every piece of furniture and stealing our keys. We like that this would allow for things to be too high for the kitten to reach.
This seems to be a simple solution to our problem. You remove the two screws from your light switch, place the Switch Entry Caddy on top, then screw it into place. Our only problem &mdash yes, it's functional, but is it "fashionable" enough? We take a lot of pride in making sure we love everything in our home &mdash would this be compromising that, or are we just thinking about it too much?
Would you use the Switch Entry Caddy in your home?

I really do like it, but the price is too high.
would be nice if the screws were white but it is nice enough. i would totally put that in my house.
i was just looking at the exact same thing at the MoMA store, but for $25 instead of $32. they only have the rocker style though, not the regular toggle switch.

I love this and it would be perfect for my home, but I agree that the price is too high. I would not feel right paying more than about $20 for what is essentially an angled peice of plastic.
Too expensive & too unattractive as it goes over the existing switchplate rather than replacing it...
...and it simply moves the clutter off the desktop/counter to the wall.
I'd be more inclined to purchase the PowerShelf for $15.

They are the same item. MOMA has both the rocker and toggle options.

If it makes you feel any better about the price, it's powder-coated aluminum, not plastic. It's still an expensive piece of aluminum, but at least the fabrication costs are far higher (and the material much more durable).
Not for $32! It's a freakin piece of plastic.
Aluminum* Still too much.
I would need a double-switch version for my entry area.
If only something this small could keep my front entry organized!
That 'important piece of mail' is going nowhere fast, with only a 10-cent stamp on it! ;-)
Not a big fan of the caddy either, I'm afraid.
You could make something like this from balsa wood or plastic.
I could easily see myself knocking all the mail to the ground when I go to hit the switch. Doesn't look very practical, plus the price is bad.
