Name: Stella Adair (1 week)
Location: Milford, DE
Color Inspiration: I knew I wanted to have "white-ish" walls in the nursery with a feature wallpapered wall, and when I ran across Julia Rothman's "Treet" wallpaper I knew I had my color inspiration for the entire space. It was my first purchase for her room. I was over-the-moon when I found the circle rug from Urban Outfitters, as it provided some additional pops of color to pull from and kept the space from becoming a simplistic two-tone nursery.
Tip for Using Color: Everyone says it, and I would have to agree: start with something you LOVE, even if you are not sure how you will incorporate it. It could be a curtain panel or a book cover, a throw pillow or an original piece of artwork.....If you love it, you can't go wrong! Also, if you are drawn to bold & saturated hues like I am, make sure you have enough natural tones and textures to balance out the POP. Finally, I believe a rooms color palette should NOT be too easy to describe. If it is, go back and add another shade or hue of an already used color or a few pops of an entirely new color (like the red in Stella's space); don't be too matchy-matchy!
Colors Used: Wall color is Shoji White (Sherwin-Williams). Dresser paint color is Crushed Cumin (Valspar). Wallpaper features shades best described as plum & chartreuse. Marimekko fabric print is named "Berry".
Thanks for your colorful entry Meredith and good luck!

White Enamel Flatwa...
This is one of my favorite girl's nurseries ever! Love the colors.
Love the colors! Love the 'chandelier' over the crib, where is it from????
Gorgeous!
On a side note to Ohdeedoh - could we encourage photo submissions to not include pillows, blankets, etc. in crib pictures. Those of us well educated on childcare know that obviously these items would be removed once a baby is in there, but those that aren't aware might think those items are appropriate or safe. We should advocate safe sleep in every way possible.
Well done! The color choices are amazing. Baby Stella will enjoy all the fun things to look at.
What a cute nursery. Where is the storage unit under the window from? Such a perfect fit!
Love, love love!
I love the wallpaper and the color choices. Strong work!
Beautiful colors combo :). The wall paper is amazing , really fantastic accessories , beautiful job.
I love seeing a baby's room that is so sophisticated and interesting. The color palette is rich, layered and unique. Great job.
I think the chandelier and storage unit under the window are from Ikea.
I loooove this room! It's nice to see girl's rooms done in richer colors.
I like the rich colors in this room a lot.
But why the short curtains?
Love the colors but find the room just doesn't look quite right to me... too short curtains, too small rug... Beautiful start but needs some polishing.
Sooooooo beautiful! Love the bright colors and the chandelier is gorgeous!!! Well done!!
I love the colors!! Awesome job!:)
Wonderful room; total eye-candy without being overwhelming. Great Job - I would feel joy every time I walked into a room like this!
Where did you find the rug?
This room is just beautiful! I love the wallpaper and the color choices throughout the room. It's fun and vibrant and looks like a great place for mom and baby to enjoy spending a lot of time. Great job!
I would have gone for a grayish wall with all of the white frames, accents and crib... or since you were looking for white walls, I would have gone for the decor to not also be white. Such a cute room with awesome style, but I feel like all of the cute things (white crib, white Eames rocker, frames, etc) all kind of blend in.
I love this room... perfect eclectic mix of patterns and colors! Normally I don't go for white walls, but considering the room looks pretty small and the curtains/wallpaper/mirrored closet doors take up a lot of wall real estate, it works very well. My favorite!
Was hard to chose but this room struck the deepest chord.
