I've been thinking a lot about painting our floors — and whether this is an insane undertaking or a project that could turn out perfectly. However, I'm very encouraged by this amazing tutorial for stenciling and sealing a bathroom floor. With the right amount of hard work and patience, this gorgeous (and cheap!) project might just be worth the effort.
Young House Love is by far one of my favorite decor and home project blogs — plus I'm partial because their chihuahua, Burger, is most likely a long lost twin of my own. Their projects are thoughtful and within the budget and time constraints of most amateur design lovers.
For this project, the couple stenciled and sealed their bathroom subfloor using connecting brocade stencils, semi-gloss paint, and non-toxic poly seal as an alternative to peel and stick tile. The steps are outlined in detail, plus these techniques can be used on all sorts of surfaces, including walls, ceilings, and furniture.
