Your Favorite Thing About Your Outdoor Space: That it inspires me, and so much is re-used or just old. I love to craft, so a good portion of what is decorating the space is hand made. I have crochet blankets all around because I really like to be cozy. The "grass" rug in the front entry is also crocheted. As are the cactus, and the egg cups. I also love planting succulents, and will shove clippings into anything empty jars, eggshells, or seashells...

...I have made good friends with the man who sells eggs at my farmers market, and he helped me collect over 80 egg crates to make the lights that circle. The only furniture bought new were the bamboo benches. Most was found by the dumpster, in my complex. Other pieces were handed down from family.

Biggest Design Challenge With This Space: Getting everything I wanted in there! I wanted to have it all, maximum seating, storage, eating area, gardening section, crafting corner, and a meditation spot, all in a very small space. It took about 4 months of rearranging to get it to accommodate my high expectations. This is also my front entry so I had to make sure I could traffic through it everyday.

Tips for Creating a Great Small Outdoor Space: Keep in mind everything you want to do in the space. I recently started really getting into shoving succulents into anything (re-used glass jars are my favorite). So the old card table that was left by a dumpster became a fixture in the center. It's convenient to have something small that can easily be removed and slide away so you can quickly use the space for other things. Also, think outside the box, or on top! The blue bench seat is actually a storage shelf (another dumpster find) with some old pillows under a bed sheet, and a body pillow as a back rest. Dumpster diving can be very score worthy!

Thanks, Stephanie, and good luck!
