Colorful, playful, and budget-minded. All three perfectly describe Stephanie's new home office, a work space affordably decorated and sourced from the likes of IKEA, World Market, Target, thrift stores, and Goodwill. Check out how she turned her inspiration board of dreams into a reality below...
"About a year ago, I left my job at LivingSocial to start a website that showcases talented creative service providers in fields like interior design, event planning, graphic design, photography etc. I needed a home office on a tight budget, so who better to turn to than one of the decorators on the site? I worked with up and coming designer Teri Clar to design and install this affordable, beautiful office, and I couldn't be more excited."
"She first pulled together an inspiration board, and we used that to pick the different pieces for the room. We shifted on colors a tad, but I love the end result. We even went thrift store shopping to adorn the IKEA bookcases and give them a "well-traveled" vibe. I love the faux-built-in setup, and since I live in a rental (i.e., can't make permanent installations), it was perfect."
"The desk and chair are from World Market, the rug is from Target, and the rest is from IKEA (or Goodwill). I love this office not only because it's bright, inspiring, and fun, but because it reminds me how some talent and vision can turn a small budget into something spectacular."
