Remember that kid's show, Blues Clues that was popular in the late '90s? Well, the host, Steve Burns, or 'Steve' as you would know him from the show, just worked with Mesh Architectures to build a beautiful new 2,100 square foot bachelor pad. Built on an old wood shop in Brooklyn, his new house integrates some really exciting examples of creative re-use.

Eric Liftin at Mesh Architectures is the brains behind the space, which was constructed as a private, creative place - a bit of a man cave for Burns, who is now a musician.

The house has some gorgeous re-purposed wooden elements: the court yard deck is made from planks salvaged from the Coney Island boardwalk, and pine joists sliced from the original wood shop form a massive wall designed as a "blank slate" for all of Burn's creative endeavors. Exposed lights made from plumbing pipes light up the catwalk, creating a unique and artistic lighting effect.
