What do you get when you combine sewing and Instagram? Stitchtagram! The new product to display your Insta-photos on pillows.
You can customize the images for your pillow in two formats — 2x2 or 5x5. I think this idea has some really good potential — it all just comes down to the images you choose and how you lay them out.

The key, of course, is to start with great images. If you take time to think about content and color for your pillow, it could turn out to be a really interesting decor item, spicing things up through pattern or color. If I give it a try, I plan to veer away from it being a personal photo album display piece and focus on making it as visually stunning as possible.

Shaw's Original Fir...
How do you get the mages onto the fabric?
@Terry Jackson - seriously? The link in this post goes to the company that puts the images onto the fabric.
$95 plus shipping....
pass.
You could diy something similar pretty cheaply by using iron-on transfer material.
I've also read that you can use freezer paper by ironing it onto a piece of fabric (it will stick) then putting the temporarily 'laminated' fabric/freezer paper through your printer.
I haven't tried that, though I've always meant to.
Did I need to mention that the freezer paper peels right off the fabric when you are done?
There are a lot of ways to get photos on fabric without spending $95. Quilters do it all the time. Google it and pick one that works for you. You can even buy fabric that goes through printers at your office supply store, but you are limited to a letter-sized sheet of paper. Just remember if you are doing it yourself and using transfer paper, to reverse the image because otherwise when you iron it on, it will be backwards.
these pillows look rad. i think they are the same ones on fab.com. http://fab.com/sale/5055/
These pillows are perfect. A few applications that come to mind:
1. the bible in pictures... ON A PILLOW!
2. Guilt. Imagine the guilt you could inspire with the properly curated pillow. Eating ice cream while watching biggest loser again? not if that picture where your arm looks fat is staring at you from the other end of the sofa, tubby! Jerking off in the living room when no one's home? Not if Grandma's watching from heaven AND a pillow right next to you.
3. Deceased pets. Remember how great Buster was? At least the pillow won't shit on your bed!
I've been doing this for years! Get the printer-fabric-paper, design your photos, and print them out on the fabric from your regular printer...then do whatever you please with it. I've made so many quilts this way, and they come out beautifully. I use EQ Printable Paper, BTW. It's cotton and comes out great.
I've already bought 2 pillows from stitchtagram (one for my mom and one for my best friend) and they're amazing!! I got them for less than $95 though so maybe it's just a temporary price increase? Either way, totally worth it. @Dupe, those are some awesome suggestions
I think it would be awesome to curate some photos for pillows, but I don't have enough disposable income to justify a $100 pillow. I'd definitely consider a DIY option though! I really like the idea of using images that flow with and emphasize your decor.
good news!! the pillows are on sale for $64!
