Storage is incredibly useful in home office spaces and we certainly cherish all the space we can get. What makes us cherish storage space even more is when it is just as beautiful as it is functional. If you're looking to build a custom dual duty space — look no further!
Roel submitted his most recent IKEA hack to IKEA Hackers and we just couldn't resist sharing this incredibly handsome DIY project. There are quite a bit of components for this particular hack, but the results obviously speak for themselves. Here's what you'll need if you want to achieve this look: BILLY Bookcase, BILLY Height Extension Unit, 3 FAKTUM Base Cabinet, Adjustable Monitor Arm and Cole and Son Wallpaper.
To create more storage at the end of the table Roel stacked the cabinets and covered the front with wooden slats and plasterboard which they then wallpapered. The last step was to mount the monitor on the wall; the key to this is to have an extender arm so that you can pull out the monitor when in use and push it back flush against the wall when you're finished. We love that the wall mounted monitor gives this space a dual purpose.
