We just learned about Green Home Chicago via A Fresh Squeeze. From poking around their website, it sounds like the showroom is full of good things for any job coming up (both residential and commercial). Has anyone stopped in? Products include:
Cabinetry, countertops, tiles, flooring, carpeting, wallcoverings, window treatments and more; see the full brand list here.
Like Greenmaker Building Supply, Green Home Chicago is yet another local player committed to changing the ways we build, design and live:
GREEN HOME CHICAGO is a company with a dual purpose: We sell unique and uncommonly beautiful eco-chic interior design products for commercial and residential sites. At the same time we are dedicated to the health of the planet, its inhabitants and our economy.

Green Home Chicago is a wonderful place. I believe that it just opened in January of this year. The owner, Karen, is extremely responsive and helpful. My husband and I are in the process of ordering counter tops right now.
They also rep local artists. It is a wonderful space, even if you're not rennovating you should stop in. It is conveniently located in the Fulton Market area, adjeacent to the Fulton Lounge.
