We are always in favor of fostering creativity in our kids, in whichever medium they take a fancy to. Of course, encouraging this creativity often results in an explosion of art supplies which can test the patience of the most organized among us. Here is a clever way to store those supplies in a handsome container right out in the open.
The always-inspiring Danielle at Thompson Family-Life came up with this great idea for re-purposing an old Coke crate. The multiple compartments really help to keep things neat and the entire crate is portable yet too heavy to be accidentally knocked off a desk. We especially appreciate the plastic inserts she found that fit perfectly in each cubby.
Check out Danielle's tutorial for this project and as a bonus you'll get to see how she converted an unused sewing nook into an art/homework space for her kids.
