Promoting the ideas of creative reuse and the aesthetics of vintage furniture, Dutch designer Isabel Quiroga has repurposed various tables into Storyteller. This purple shelving and desk combo reminds us of Matt Carr's Biblioteca Bookrack design for Umbra and the fantastical designs of Bay-area designer Thomas Wold.

By painting the pieces in a single eye-popping shade, Storyteller unites visually and works as a single entity. You can see more of Isabel Quiroga's designs on her site.

very clever....how do u anchor that to the wall?
THAT IS FANTASTIC.
LOVE IT!!! Love the color too.
You can anchor it with wall anchors into the drywall then screw through the table (pilot hole) with a long screw.
You know, I didn't expect to be liking this, but I am !
Wow, this is a brilliant idea. The image shalt be saved within my "when I own a house" folder.
This is clever, but looks like something I'd see in an Urban Outfitters store ... rather than something I'd like to see in a home.
i really want to see how this looks crammed with books.
i think this is the most original thing I have seen all year. What a completely cool idea.
WOW!! this is one of the coolest things i've seen in awhile. thank you, isabel & internets!
I like!

I love this, its a collage,
congrats, great work.
I have been struggling with how to put shelves in my tiny office. Thank you, this is the solution. The best part, PURPLE>
I guess I'm the only one who finds this pretty much derivative of Thomas Wold's work... sans the literary references.
It's kind of Louise Nevelson-ish, and I love her work. I probably wouldn't do purple, but I still love this. I really, really, really love this. This would be practically free for anyone who live in the city, where desks and tables get thrown out on such a regular basis.
I'm not familiar with Thomas Wold's work, but derivative sounds like a perjorative way of saying, "reminds me of" and everything kind of does that in one form or another, doesn't it?
I plan to do this in my craft room! In BLUE! Wish I could PIN this...helllerr! Where's the Pin It widget?
