If you’re on the lookout for a big rug, but you don’t have a lot to spend, striped rugs are an affordable option. Like any rug, pricing depends on the material and quality of the piece. That said, it’s easier to find bargains on simple striped cotton or wool rugs than it is to find an elaborate patterned silk rug on the cheap.
In case you’re considering a striped rug, we’ve rounded up a few real-life examples from past house tours and features. We’ve also included some sources for inexpensive striped rugs - click through the links below for more info.

Crate and Barrel has some nice striped rugs as well, that are not crazy expensive. That's where I got mine!

Are striped rugs cheaper than plain rugs? Doesn't size come into this?
speaking of cheap striped rugs, any word on when Ikea will have their sveje rugs again?
Do you mean dhurrie rugs rather than striped? There are lots of striped dhurries (flat-weaves, no pile) out there and dhurries are generally less expensive than other types of rugs. With a slightly tacky pad, they lay flat and look good, striped or not.

...and where's Flor as a resource?
