No doubt about it, stripes are fun, bold and graphic. I find red and white particularly cheery so I've rounded up some images with lots of stripes of red and white!
Whether it be on walls or furniture or even rugs, they are sure to add pops of color and cheer to a room.

Rugs, curtains, furniture - yes. Walls - no.
2nd row, 2nd pic. My absolute favorite.
otherwise I'm totally with jennykno
I absolutely love pic #4 with the horizontal stripes on the walls and zigzag stripes on the curtains!
It could work on walls, but the wide stripes in the last example don't work with the heavy, square-ish furniture (a thinner stripe would look better). Lighter, leggier furniture would work better with such bold stripes.
Love that kitchen in the first picture.
I'm pretty surprised that the first pic is House Beautiful because the design elements look totally Swedish to me. Yes, love the red stripes for rag rugs, curtains and cushions, but Do Not Want the red-and-white striped walls. Yikes.
I agree with Ulrika. Nice for accents, but don't want the home to look like a set of a White Stripes video.
#4 and #5 are just so jarring...
...enjoying the striped draperies, rugs and upholstery tho
Love #4's drapes! So fantastic! Anyone know if they are pret or custom?
I love the stripe accents! Speaking of, I just saw this over at designsponge: http://www.designspongeonline.com/2009/08/sneak-peek-diana-richards-and-chris-miller.html/diana5
Does anyone have a resource for a similar bedspread? Stripes are everywhere!
Jack White would love this post
Also second Ulrika's comment about striped walls. Love the rest though.
BTW, has anyone read "Interior Desecrations" by James Lileks? Lots of No. 4s there. Tee hee.
