After Maxwell chose Studio Dunn for his Daily Find last week, and we happened to fall in love with their work in person at ICFF, we are proud to let you know that Studio Dunn has just been named co-winner in the New Designer category at this weekend's industry event.
Asher Dunn, founder and head of the company, and his right-hand-man Andrew Mau spoke with us at length about the work, process, and inspiration for their handsome collection.
The group begins their glass and ceramic offerings as prototypes in wood which are then fabricated by artisans local to Pawtucket, Rhode Island, where the team is based. Wooden pieces all feature elegantly curved joints meticulously hand-crafted in Studio Dunn's own workshop from sustainably replanted species. But rather than keeping all those good tools, machinery, and practices to themselves, the group offers low-cost woodworking classes as a service to the community.
And in case you're still not in love, items in the Studio Dunn portfolio are available at very reasonable prices to make good design affordable for lots of people, and not just an elite few.
Check out these winners here.

loved this booth! beautifully crafted and elegant at a reasonable price finally I can afford something that's amazing and isn't from ikea, phew!
great work. and as they get noticed, those prices probably won't last.
ghunt - don't ruin it with a sour attitude! the vast majority of manufacturers price their work at a standard percentage over actual cost to produce.
though i'm not familiar with asher dunn's work i had the pleasure of seeing some of andrew mau's amazing work RISD's senior furniture show and at the RISD booth at ICFF last year. i highly recommend checking out his website to see some beautifully crafted furniture out of some unorthodox natural materials.....and he's a very nice guy!
beautiful design and helping the community...well Dunn!
oh no you diiiiiin't!
