i hate to say it, but i find these to be dreadfully uninspired...
It's a light bulb. In a stump. Ugh.
The design would be better if the stump was hollowed out and became a diffuser.

illustrationb is right! I've got a stump stool and if I got one of these, I can see just that happening. Might be the first time in history where someone used that excuse in the emergency room and is telling the truth!
