Mad Max meets The Met in Emmanuel Cognée impressive series of lamps and pendant lights from Lampi Lampa. His artful approach to salvaged and unconventional materials makes each piece an exercise in elegance and ingenuity.

The French-born, Montreal based designer quickly made a reputation for himself after launching his first collection several years ago. Commonly featuring vintage Art Deco globes, each light playfully pairs found and repurposed objects, from cheese graters to faceted glass ashtrays, to mixing bowls, faucet handles and pot lids. There is no limited to what Cognée will use, but stainless and chrome components are king.
