French style. Wandered into this store on Saturday, drawn by the super cool cafe chairs in the window. We have been curious how these chairs are getting into the country lately and this store answered part of the question.
Annick de Lorme's shop on Wooster Street is an elegant mix of traditional parisian furniture and new modern by designer Julie Prisca. It is really an eclectic mix, but it works.
The chairs are made by Maison Gatti (since 1920) and constructed out of rattan and Rilsan, a natural polymer made of castor oil. They come in tons of shapes from stool to chair to armchair to lounge and in any color or weave you want. They also cost. Prices start at @ $685 per chair. Ugh. We will be looking for other options, but these are extremely nice (Annick is the exclusive distributor in North America). MGR

These are beautiful -- up til now I've always recommended that friends buy the bistro chairs from the boutique at Cafe de Flore; probably the same price, and certainly an option if you're visiting here in Paris.
But with all the choices you've given, no need to deal with shipping from la Belle France. Thanks!
