We were shocked (yes, us!) yesterday when we recieved Monday's version of Daily Candy. Shopping issues aside, we have always thought that DK's graphics were one of the strongest on the web, so we recoil at the FACE LIFT that DK has prematurely gone under the knife for. Look at the old version (since @2001):
Then look at the new version (since yesterday):
Less color, more black faced type, straight letters and diminishing whimsy.... Either DK's readers are getting so old they need the large type, or they are getting so young they are learning to read.
You could say that this has nothing to do with interior design, but we reserve the right to pass judgement on any design that we can see. This is a small travesty, and having met the founder, Dany Levy, we suspect it has to do with corporate and marketing meddling that now own her company. MGR
