Last week in Milan, the style-obsessed gathered in droves to see models strut the runway and party hop in celebration of fashion week. But just two hours south in Bologna, men were buttoning their blazers and polishing their Ferragamos in preparation for their own fashion parade—Cersaie 2011
With over 1,000 exhibitors representing 33 countries, Cersaie is a chance for designers, architects, journalists and other visitors to gather for a glimpse at the latest trends from the world's leading exporter of ceramics. With events booked around the clock, the floors of the fairground are bustling as the hordes of attendees make their way from booth-to-booth and burn face with today's hottest designers.
Upon first entering the show, I could not help but marvel at the fantastic style of all the various players involved. Whether they be CEO's in power suits or designers in more casual looks, the men's fashion at Cersaie was pretty impeccable—a testament to the power and panache of this major industry.
A full trend report on the ceramics and bathroom furnishings is to follow, but for now, meet some of the most stylish men from the festival—all of whom were more than happy to stop and pose.
