Around my house, us human folks aren't the only ones with presents under the tree. And according to recent polls, I'm not the only one buying gifts for my pets. But seriously, one of my biggest pet peeves are hideous cheap dog toys and beds. I figure if the pups are going to have toys and accessories lying around the house, well there is no reason they can't be functional and stylish. The bowls from trendypet.com are super expensive but I really want one for my Irish Wolfhound.
The beds from bowwowbeds.com are awesome. I highly recommend them. There are not a lot of good looking beds out there for extra-large breeds, but I like the looks and the functionality of those.
Please make a post like this for kitties, too!
The storage cans seem pricey to me. I think I like the look of IKEA's bin better (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60045656). Could even personalize it with spray paint and stencils.
Given how many toys I let my little guy leave out around the house to trip me/injure me/startle me when I go get a glass of water at night, I think it's a fair compromise that they're attractive toys. Any ideas for toys that are cute and do not have a squeaker? I can't be the only one whose dog likes to locate the squeaker and then torture the people by squeaking it CONSTANTLY, preferably during his owners favorite show. And then proceed to attack the squeaker and not rest until the squeaker is found and destroyed.
More things for our recently rescued lab to destroy!
I'm a big fan of spoiling my pug, but maybe I'm just cheap -- $40 to store his food? I use a $5 airtight bin. $200 dollar bed? He chewed his $10 bed and still sleeps in it just fine...
He's a big fan of squeaky toys and puppy nylabones, so that's what his present will be. :)
@anniekins, i like the ones at petsmart that are shaped like animals -- the smallest ones don't have squeakers.
But what do we give the Rhodeisan Ridgeback that we banned from Christmas for being too big, too eager, too much into digging up the garden, tearing holes in the insect screen, and fighting with our cat? And for her owner, who is a touch miffed...
