Whether you entertain guests for small dinners, cocktail parties or have overnight guests coming in the future, there's something decorative you can do that will instantly add sophistication and entertaining function to one of your rooms, as well as be a spot guests know they can return to on their own if they need a refill.

This Weekend's Assignment:

Update or create a spirits, coffee or tea bar

With entertaining season coming soon, you might like to take a weekend to assess this spot in your home (or create one if you don't have one yet). The benefits of creating a small bar with spirits, coffee or tea — whether it's on a traditional bar cart, a tabletop or even just a small tray placed somewhere in your main living area — are numerous. Whether you like to serve cocktails to your guests or like a nice coffee or tea and snack spread, putting effort into organizing this spot in your home will allow you to host in style and with ease.

You also save your kitchen cabinets from being stuffed with coffee, tea or alcohol bottles, tins and supplies. Having a spot guests know they can go to when they're in need of a cocktail refill or a cup of caffeine in the morning without bothering you is awesome. And just treating yourself with a lovely spot to house your favorite beverages is a way to fully enjoy your home more.
