Danielle Thompson, who authors the DIY-licious Thompson Family blog, shared these pics of her living room with us. Says Danielle:
The room has an eclectic and vintage feel, with Scandinavian and mid-century modern touches — but I've also incorporated Halloween elements that keep the room feeling sophisticated and elegant, without that cutesy feel people associate with Halloween decorations. Most of the decorations are spare and handmade by me, or vintage. The room is budget friendly and doesn't take itself too seriously, keeping a sense of humor firmly in check. :)
So many ideas to steal here! You can see lots more photos of the room and the decorations on the Thompson Family blog. Thanks, Danielle!

I discovered Danielle's blog via AT and DesignSponge one Christmas...I loved her Tiffany blue/White wall/fireplace and her awesome vintage Christmas decor. Once again, she has done a super cute job with her holiday decorations!!
I love the little pink pumpkin in the 1st picture. I think next year I will try an orange/pink/black vintage Halloween scheme for my house. Thanks again Danielle for all the wonderful ideas!!!
I love the cat mask in the empty frame. I have to remember that for next year.
And.. I would be one of the VERY last minute folks. As in, tonight (Halloween itself). Not deliberately, just haven't summoned enough energy to drag decor out of the closet...
