Inspiration for my palette:
My daughter is a fun, happy girl who loves rainbows and especially red and pink. I couldn't imagine her being in a room without color!
Colors used in my room:
For my daughter Lily's room, I used her favorite colors: pink and red. The walls have a pale seashell pink and the room is accented with shades of red and bright white.
Tips for using color successfully:
Many kids' rooms focus on one color but I think it's important to keep many shades in the mix. Lily's rug features a rainbow of shades and her curtains have multi-colored ribbon trim. Just don't stay too rigid to your original plan. Make it fun!
