Q: Our living room connects to our dining room by way of a very long wall. I've started a gallery wall on it, and have been using Command Velcro strips to throw pieces up on the wall as I collect them. (No real rhyme or reason to it, just when I get something, I stick it up there and move on.) I just got a bunch more items, and I think I'm finally hitting a point where I need to rearrange and think about this a bit harder, and I'm stuck:
I hate putting holes in the wall, and I want to be able to interchange my pieces and move them around. The velcro strips work great, but they're still limiting when I want to put a large picture in place of a smaller picture and vice versa. I considered a magnet wall with magnets on the backs of all the frames, but apparently that would be pretty weak and require crazy strong magnets.
Since it seems that an entirely velcro wall is too extreme, does anyone have any ideas for easily changing around a growing gallery wall? (The attached picture is actually out of date already — I've probably got six or seven new things up, with another ten or so to hang. It's going to be a very busy wall!)
