Suggestions for Library Swing Arm Lamp? Good Questions

Q -I happen to live in Phoenix, so I wasn't sure which city would best answer my question! I am looking for a less expensive alternative to this library swing arm lamp from Circa Lighting. I would like to find two wall-mount, plug-in lamps like these for preferably around $150 each (or less!). Since I do not live in the LA area, I suppose internet options would be best. Any suggestions out there?

Hi Lynn. To be blunt...my bitchy interior designer boyfriend says, "She's not going to find those lamps for $150 each!" They are only represented by two companies...Visual Comfort and Circa Lighting...and as you probably know, they retail for more than that. HOWEVER, I do have a friend who has a pair of those exact lamps in satin nickel/antique finish, hardwire, and is willing to sell them for $100 each. Check with your local lighting specialist, but it shouldn't cost more than $30 to convert them to plug in lights. Let me know if you're interested.

just a couple suggestions...

These House of Troy Library wall lamps, they have a brass with black shade, or rubbed bronze (looks dark) with light shade...if you can find a replacement shade (that doesn't cost a lot), you could probably do fine with the rubbed bronze:

You'll want to compare shade size, extension, etc with the one you liked, of course. Be sure on all the choices to check the light wattage or requirements.
