Q: I have two large windows in my master bedroom, which is overlooking a park. I love the view of the park during daytime, but at the same time I need privacy at night. What would you recommend for covering these windows? I generally like clean, modern look.

I would try mounting roller shades at the level of the top "bar" in the window (if that makes sense), since I don't think they can be installed on an angle.
i would suggest folding screens. they can be taken out/put away when needed.
Not only are those cool windows, but that view is gorgeous! The only thing I can think of are curtains either 1) following the anglewith a hook on the walls to hold them back during the day or 2) straight along the top straight line of each window so the pointed part is uncovered.
Is there a model home unit with similar windows in the condo building? If so, see what they did with them.

I agree with the first response. I would mount black solar roller shades at the level of top horizontal mullion of each window. Black will blend with the frame. And solar shades will still allow for light and views.
I have the same problem. I put a film on the inside of the windows. It's similar to the film you can get for car windows. You can see out, but you can't see in. It also lessens the strength of the sun and fading, which is a plus for me.
Oh I like Village's suggestion, too! I had forgotten about films that do that.
If all you're concerned with is privacy then you don't need the treatments to go all the way to the angled ceiling, and the folding screens mentioned might be the best option.
If you're also looking to be able to block light out of the room at night I'm not sure what you can do.
Sheer drapes (for when you need some privacy in the daytime but still want natural light in) under lined curtains (for complete nighttime privacy).
I agree with Hernando and Ula. Dark roller shades starting at the top horizontal bar.
Beautiful windows! I'm jealous!
IKEA has the clean modern sliders that will stack easily to the side and not give a fussy curtain look, but will give you privacy when needed.
There are inside-mount, bottom up solar shades that would fill the angle of the upper windows - That would be a custom job, but the best solution for you since you really don't need privacy at the top of the window, but at the bottom.
Love the windows! I too, think roller shades would work best mounted at the the top bar. No one would be able to see in at the top. Shades would be the cleanest, sleekest look and the easiest. They go up and down with one tug. Folding screens would be a hassle to move into and out of place everytime you need privacy. Solar shades are great for day (even give some privacy) but, it's the reverse at night. With the lights on you can see in. I know, I have them.
I love your windows.
I like the suggestion of a bottom up custom shades - if you can afford it, go for it.
Thank you for all the recommendations! I was originally thinking about solar shades as well. The only thing is that my master bathroom is open, and connected with my master bedroom. I also love seeing sun in the morning. So I started thinking about honeycomb shades: When I wake up in the morning I would raise them to half the window height. I would be able to see the park, but people in the park wouldn't be able to see much of me... The bottom-up solar shades also sound interesting. I wonder if I can find somebody who might be able to make them for me.
One more question for you: would you cover the entire window (the larger one is about 95") with one shade, or multiple shades?
I would prefer one shade per window, but I doubt that you will find something in one piece for the larger window, due to its size. I have a huge window that is over 100" wide (divided into 3 vertical sections about 36" wide each) and I went with 3 honeycomb shades. I was lucky to find some that were a perfect fit and did not need any cutting. (This is my living room so I only needed privacy, I was not concerned about blocking the light).
Good luck with the project!
My mom once made curtains for similar windows. She sewed solid panels with angled tops, and put grommets into all four corners and on each side. Then she put small cup hooks at the top, bottom and sides of all the windows. It was a really cool solution. At night, the windows could be completely covered. During the day, they could either be removed easily, or hung from only one hook so they were out of the way. They could also be adjusted to let in some light, but leaving, say, the top part open. (They were in a TV room, so sometimes we wanted to cut the glare during the day.)
It was a really cool solution.
She did it again for me recently - I needed a cheap solution to cover up below a deck when I was selling my house. Polyester canvas and cuphooks FTW!
A situation like this calls for a bottom-up roller shade.
